EFL Methodology:
From Theory to Practice in 45 Hours

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This comprehensive course is designed for individuals with no previous experience in teaching English as a foreign language. It is also useful for experienced teachers with no formal training in English Language Teaching (ELT) who desire to improve not only their skills but also effectiveness in the classroom. This basic methodology course is especially useful for teachers on exam courses that have been too coursebook dependent or who are tired of testing rather teaching.
This is a general methodology course and is useful both teachers of adults and children. Both humanistic and experiential approaches to learning are utilized in this course and are also represented in elements of teaching approaches suggested by the course leaders.

All materials are included in the course fee and will be provided at beginning of the course.

Upon conclusion, a certificate of completion and letter of reference will be provided to all participants.
Further course modules are available for specific areas of interest such as Teaching adults, teaching young learners, computer assisted language learning (CALL), cross-curricular approach to teaching, psychology for language teachers, and others.
The course is taught in several convenient locations around Thessaloniki, Greece. The course is also available in-house to language schools and school associations meeting minimum participant requirements.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS

In addition to attending the above course modules, course participants will be required to complete the following:

- 2 Lesson observations
- 3 written assignments on lesson planning
- Plan and deliver a model lesson
